A Small Stool, Made Distinctive

A carved circle sits at the center of this little French stool, drawing the eye to its rounded seat and warm, time-softened wood. Three turned bobbin legs give the piece a quiet sculptural quality, with a compact scale that makes it as lovely beside a favorite chair as it is tucked near the hearth.

The surface carries the gentle variations, marks, and softened finish of a life in use. One leg has been repaired; this is noted here as part of the stool’s present condition. Its petite proportions make it a thoughtful accent throughout the home.
